Network, firewall and security renting and leasing
The network is the investment nobody wants to make until the day it fails. Financing it solves the budget problem that holds these projects back: the amount is high, the benefit is invisible while everything works, and so it is always the first thing cut from the budget.
- Subscriptions multi-year, included in the rent
- 36-60 months, aligned with the subscription
- Complete project equipment, licences and installation
Aligning the term with the security subscription
A modern firewall is half equipment, half subscription. Security licences are bought for three or five years and often make up more than half the cost of the project. Financing both in the same contract, with the contract term equal to the subscription term, avoids the most unpleasant situation: reaching the end of the licences with the rent still running.
It is a calendar detail, but it is what separates a well-made contract from one the company will regret in year four.
- Firewall and multi-year security subscriptions
- Managed switching, PoE and uplinks
- Wi-Fi 6E access points and controller
- IP video surveillance, recorders and storage
- Structured cabling, racks and installation
Can cabling and works be included?
Structured cabling and installation can be included, within limits. The funders' rule of thumb is that services and works must not dominate the deal; the contract has to rest on assets with an identifiable value. Very labour-heavy projects can be financed, but not by every funder and not on the same terms.
Frequently asked questions
Can I finance the licence renewal at the end of the contract?
Yes, and it is the most common case: at the end of the term a new contract is opened with new equipment and new subscriptions. If the equipment is still fit for purpose, only the licence renewal is financed, over a shorter term.
Can video surveillance go into the same contract?
It can, and it makes sense when the project is carried out at the same time. Cameras, recorders and storage have a working life similar to that of network equipment.

Fixed workstations, all-in-ones and mini PCs are still the right choice for counters, receptions, laboratories and production lines.
