ITRENTING

Privacy policy

In force since 27 September 2026

This website has a single feature that processes personal data: the quote request form. This policy explains what happens to the data you leave with us there.

1. Data controller

ITPOINT - Tecnologia e Marketing, Unipessoal Lda., legal entity no. 516275542 (NIF, Portuguese tax number), with registered office at Rua Conde Alto Mearim, 1133, Sala 58, 4450-036 Matosinhos. ITRENTING is a trade name of this entity.

We do not collect special categories of data, we do not carry out profiling and we do not take automated decisions with legal effects concerning you. The service is aimed at businesses and professionals acting in the course of their business, and the data we ask for is business contact data.

3. What if you do not want to provide the data

Company, NIF, name and email are needed for us to be able to respond and for the funders to be able to assess the request: without them there can be no proposal. The remaining fields, including any document you choose to attach, are optional and serve only to refine our response.

4. Who has access

  • The funding entities to which we submit the request: financial leasing and IT equipment renting companies operating in Portugal. They receive what is needed for their assessment and process that data as independent controllers, under their own policies. On request, we will identify the specific entities to which your file was submitted.
  • Our hosting and email providers, which act as processors and only on our instructions.

We do not sell or pass on data to third parties for marketing purposes. If you send us a quote you have received from another supplier, that document is used solely for our analysis: it is not shared with the funders, let alone with the supplier that issued it.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., an entity based in the United States, which may involve the processing of technical browsing data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Quote requests and the documents you attach are stored on infrastructure located in the European Union. If you accept Google Analytics, browsing data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred to Google LLC, in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to a contract: 24 months from the last contact, including attached documents.
  • Requests that lead to a signed contract: for the term of the contract and, thereafter, for the applicable legal periods, namely the statutory retention periods for tax documents.
  • Visit statistics (Google Analytics): the data for each visit is kept in Google Analytics for up to 14 months; the cookies in your browser, for up to 2 years or until you withdraw your consent.
  • Technical server logs: the period strictly necessary for the security and diagnosis of the service.

7. Security

Data travels encrypted between your browser and our systems. Access is limited to those who need it to handle the request, and we apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk.

8. Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Simply write to info@itpoint.pt; we will reply within one month.

If you believe we have not handled your data as we should, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese data protection authority (cnpd.pt).

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
